Digital and High-Frequency Electronics section, Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering​

SDU has coordinated large, relevant research and innovation projects, including the H2020 Drones4Safety and IFD Drones4Energy Grand Solutions projects, and has partnered in other EU drone and robotics projects. In the Robots4Green project, SDU will be the lead partner, developing advanced robotic work tools for aerial vehicles to solve major challenges in the energy sector and achieve the Green Deal goals. Furthermore, SDU will contribute with the power line testing facilities at its UAS test centre, HCA Airport.

Networks and Analytics Research Group, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE)

The Networks and Analytics research group at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) has expertise in future networks, wireless communication, and data-driven services. Our contributions to research and innovation in Robots4Green lie within networking and wide-area communication design. Our activities will concern the design of efficient algorithms and protocols related to sensor communication and IoT data and thereby contribute to the green transition. ​

WeFly​

WeFly is an innovative drone company based in Denmark. Since 2013, they have specialized in aerial data collection and drone education. The company is known for its high professional standards and is managed by former pilots with extensive aviation experience. WeFly inspects high-voltage lines using commercial drones. The R4G project aligns with WeFly’s strategic focus on innovation and safety in aerial vehicle operations and data collection. By testing advanced aerial robotics for high-voltage line maintenance, WeFly enhances its capabilities and gathers valuable data, supporting its commitment to cutting-edge technology and high professional standards.​

Becster

Becster A/S is a company that develops novel sensing technology. We maintain a strong focus on commercialization, go-to-market planning, product development, and project management. Our expertise spans electronics, embedded software, radar sensing, wireless communications, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The Robots4Green project aligns with Becster’s business plan to enter new markets in the power-line sector by leveraging its state-of-the-art sensing technology.
